Day 15 - Ezekiel

John Jolly

Read: Ezekiel 1:1-3; 2:1-3

Reflect: In this passage, we see the story of Ezekiel, a prophet of God who was called to speak to the Israelites in exile. God appeared to Ezekiel in a vision and gave him a message for the people, telling him that he was appointed as a watchman for Israel. Despite their unfaithfulness, God told Ezekiel to speak his words to them and warned them of the coming judgment if they did not repent. This passage teaches us about the importance of being obedient to God's call and speaking His truth, even when it is not well received.

Ezekiel's calling is an example of how God uses individuals to bring His message to others, regardless of their willingness to listen. It reminds us that we must be obedient to God's call and speak His truth, even if it is not well received. It also teaches us about the importance of repentance and turning back to God.

Respond: Take a moment to reflect on any areas of your life where you may be feeling called by God to speak His truth. Challenge yourself to be obedient to that call, like Ezekiel was, and to speak God's truth, even if it is not well received. Remember that God can use us to bring His message to others, and that repentance and turning back to God is always possible.
