Day 12 - Jeremiah
Read: Jeremiah 1:4-10
Reflect: In this passage, we see the story of the prophet Jeremiah, who was called by God to be a prophet to the nations. God tells Jeremiah that He knew him before he was born, and that He had appointed him to be a prophet to the nations. Despite Jeremiah's reluctance and fear, God assures him that He will be with him and give him the words to speak. This passage teaches us about the importance of having faith in God's plan for our lives and trusting in His guidance and protection.
Jeremiah's calling is an example of how God uses ordinary people with their own limitations, fears and doubts to accomplish his purpose. Despite Jeremiah's reluctance, God tells him not to be afraid, that he will be with him, and that He will give him the words to speak. This passage reminds us that God's call is not dependent on our abilities or qualifications, but on his faithfulness and grace.
Respond: Take a moment to reflect on any areas of your life where you may be feeling called by God to do something, but may be reluctant or afraid. Challenge yourself to have faith in God's plan for your life and trust in His guidance and protection, like Jeremiah did. Remember that God can use ordinary people with their own limitations, fears and doubts to accomplish His purpose, and that His call is not dependent on our abilities or qualifications, but on His faithfulness and grace.
