REFIT® with Sara
REFIT® is one of the newest ministries at Mt. Hope Bible Camp. The official launch of this ministry is scheduled for August 1, 2016. Back in March of 2016, camp director, Sara Wilson attended the REFIT® Instructor Training in Columbus, OH and became a certified instructor.
What is REFIT®?
"REFIT® is a fitness community. Our vision is to create a fitness experience that changes people from the inside out, and this vision is accomplished by focusing on the heart as a muscle AND a soul. People don’t have to get fit in order to be fit at REFIT®. Our workouts are designed for every body regardless of age, shape, size or ability. REFIT® creates a powerful, uplifting fitness experience that lasts well beyond the workout." - refitrev.com
REFIT® combines several elements of fitness into one power-packed hour. While the focus is structured around cardio movements, toning and flexibility, strength training and stretching are also incorporated into the REFIT® workout.
With that, we believe REFIT® is a perfect fit for Mt. Hope Bible Camp. We want to encourage a healthy, disciplined life that benefits the physical, but also the opportunity to encourage the same that benefits the spiritual. Each workout consists of carefully selected Christian music that is powerful, positive and uplifting and also includes carefully selected choreography that is fitness-focused and family friendly. This ministry also provides a platform to share about the messgae of Jesus. Camp director, Sara Wilson concludes each workout with a short devotion and a time of prayer.
How do I join REFIT®?
Typically, all classes meet on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the basement of the Beery Activity Center. To stay updated on class schedules, request to join the closed Facebook group REFITwithSara.
How much does each REFIT® class cost?
FREE. It's at the heart of everything we do at Mt. Hope Bible Camp. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be a part of the ministries we do at Mt. Hope Bible Camp, regardless of their ability to pay. With that, we operate on a donation basis. So for each class, there will be an opportunity to throw a few dollars in a bucket to help off-set the expenses, but it isn't required.
